Your engineering, service and integration partner in Zambia
Global automation, power and electronics brands need someone on the ground in Zambia and Central Africa. We repair to component level on our own bench in Lusaka, commission and maintain on site, and train the technicians who run your equipment.

In short: HERO Control Systems (HCS) is a Lusaka-based engineering company that gives global equipment brands a local partner in Zambia and Southern Africa. We offer component-level repair, field engineering, system integration and technician training, with a 6-month warranty and 48–72 hour priority turnaround under a maintenance agreement.

What you can put in a service agreement.
Full bench diagnostics and fault isolation to component and board level, with the unit logged and photographed on intake.
A written repair report per unit: what failed, the root cause, what was replaced, and the test results.
6 months (180 days) workmanship warranty. If the unit fails for the same root cause inside that window, we re-repair at no charge.
Standard 5–7 business days from drop-off; priority 48–72 hours under a maintenance agreement. Importing a replacement typically takes 4–12 weeks.
A flat assessment fee (ZMW 950 per unit) covers diagnostics and the report. No repair fee is charged for a unit we cannot save.
No advance payment. Payment due within 21 days of delivery and sign-off against an approved purchase order.
A published fee schedule per unit type, fixed for two years once a framework agreement is signed — not a quotation per incident.
Repaired units are run under load before return, with the results recorded on the repair report.
Breakdown response, priority turnaround and escalation contacts written into a service level agreement.
Straight answers.
Who is HERO Control Systems?
HERO Control Systems (HCS) is an engineer-led industrial technology company in Lusaka, Zambia, founded in 2019. It repairs power electronics at component level, designs replacement boards for discontinued equipment, provides field engineering and system integration, and trains technicians.
Can HCS act as a local service or warranty-repair partner for a global manufacturer in Zambia?
That is the partnership we are looking to build. We repair at component level on our own bench in Lusaka, return every unit with a written report per serial number, load-test before return and give a 6-month (180-day) workmanship warranty. Warranty and authorisation terms are agreed with the manufacturer case by case.
What equipment can HCS repair or support in Zambia?
Variable speed drives and soft starters (Schneider, ABB, Siemens, Danfoss, WEG, Yaskawa, Mitsubishi and others), PLC and control boards, rectifiers and telecom power systems, UPS and inverters, and unbranded OEM drives built into machinery.
How fast is local repair compared with sending equipment overseas?
Our standard turnaround is 5–7 business days from drop-off, and 48–72 hours priority under a maintenance agreement. Importing a replacement unit typically takes 4–12 weeks. Local repair also removes the export and customs leg.
Does HCS cover mining and the Copperbelt?
Yes. We work from Lusaka with a presence on the Copperbelt, do site work across Zambia, and have delivered for JCHX Mining in Botswana.
Which sectors does HCS serve?
Mining, telecom (contracted framework repair for MTN Zambia), water utilities (Lusaka Water Supply and Sanitation Company), food and beverage manufacturing, and corporate and commercial sites.
Does HCS offer system integration and training for equipment brands?
Yes. We programme and commission PLC and SCADA systems, integrate drives, build panels, and run hands-on training for technicians and engineers. More than 300 engineers and technicians have been trained.
